Student Chapter : Get Involved
Do you know a group of students interested in forming a NEWEA Student Chapter? Are you a Professor interested in advising a student group?
NEWEA Executive Director Mary Barry, President Matt Formica, Vice President Jim Barsanti and a delegation of
NEWEA members, who are UMass/Lowell alumni, including Lisa DeMeo, Deb Mahoney, Kate Biedron, Denise Descheneau, Tom Groves, and Mike Sullivan participated in a student engagement session on campus. They were joined by faculty member Dr. Cliff Bruell, Professor of the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department, and several undergraduate students in a lively and informative discussion on career opportunities in the water quality industry and the membership benefits available to students and young professionals when joining and participating in professional associations.
